Billing & Cancellation Policy

How SVG Lab subscriptions renew, how cancellation works, and when billing issues are reviewed.

Short version. You can cancel a paid SVG Lab subscription at any time to stop the next renewal. Your paid access stays active until the end of the current billing period. Monthly charges are normally not refunded after checkout, because the free plan lets you test the editor before subscribing.

Auto-renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you chose — and your payment method is charged automatically each time until you cancel. There's no separate confirmation step at renewal; canceling ahead of the renewal date is how you stop the next charge.

Subscription cancellation

Canceling a subscription stops future billing. It does not remove access immediately.

Changing plans

Moving between Pro and Studio changes your existing subscription in place — you don't cancel and re-subscribe. When you upgrade or downgrade, Paddle prorates the difference immediately: upgrading charges you the prorated cost of the new plan for the rest of the current billing period right away, and downgrading credits the unused portion of your old plan toward the new one. There's no separate approval step for this charge or credit — it's applied as soon as you confirm the plan change.

How to cancel

Sign in to SVG Lab, open Billing, and choose Cancel renewal. The app asks for a reason, then schedules the cancellation for the end of the paid period.

Billing issue reviews

SVG Lab has a free plan so you can test the editor before subscribing. For that reason, paid monthly periods are normally final once checkout succeeds.

Chargebacks

Before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer, email support@svglab.app first. Chargebacks carry dispute fees and can affect the SVG Lab merchant account.

Filing a dispute that's found to be fraudulent or made in bad faith — for example, disputing charges for a subscription period you verifiably used — is a violation of the Terms of Service and may result in account suspension or termination and denial of future service. We'd rather resolve a billing problem directly, so email us first.

Payments and merchant of record

Paid plans are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, receipts, taxes, invoices, and the subscription management links included in receipt emails.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Changes only apply to purchases made after the update date — anything you bought under the previous policy stays under those terms.
