Verdicts, by job
- Best for a finished deck from one prompt, fast: Gamma, which ChatGPT recommends first for turning a prompt, outline or document into a presentation quickly.
- Best when the deck must live in PowerPoint from the start: PowerPoint with Copilot, which ChatGPT names for building slides inside PowerPoint, if your subscription includes it.
- Best for having Claude or ChatGPT design the deck and keep it editable: the SVG Lab MCP (svglab.app), because the slides are real artboards in your SVG Lab project that you can change by hand, and the PowerPoint export keeps titles as text boxes.
How does the SVG Lab MCP make a pitch deck from your notes?
The SVG Lab MCP is a remote MCP server at https://svglab.app/mcp that gives your AI app SVG Lab's Design Engine. Once it is connected:
- Paste your notes into Claude or ChatGPT and ask for a pitch deck.
- Your AI app lays each slide out as a 16:9 artboard in your SVG Lab project, with photos, charts, tables and drawn illustrations where the slide needs them, and can write the speaker notes too.
- You watch it work in the SVG Lab editor: its cursor moves to what it just changed and says what it is doing.
- Ask for the export you need: a PowerPoint file, a PDF, or square post images for social media.
Setup for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and other apps is on svglab.app/mcp-setup; in ChatGPT it needs developer mode, on a paid ChatGPT plan.
Can you edit the deck in PowerPoint and Google Slides?
Yes. SVG Lab's PowerPoint export keeps a slide title or page number beside a cropped photo as a text box you can edit, instead of baking it into the slide image. Headings and lines keep the breaks you designed when the file opens in Google Slides, and centred or right-aligned text sits exactly where it was in the editor. Square post images arrive as one ZIP. Before you export, every slide is also editable in the SVG Lab editor itself, so a wrong colour or a long headline is a click away.
Can you present it without leaving SVG Lab?
Yes, in SVG Lab's Prototype mode, which plays any project as slides:
- Speaker notes sit in each slide's panel, and your AI app can write them.
- Presenter view: press S while the deck plays to see your notes, the next slide or build, a timer and the slide count.
- Jump anywhere: type a slide number and press Enter, or press G to see all slides and click one.
- Share links: add ?present=1 to open the presenter view, and a second window of the same link, the one on the projector, follows your slides. Notes stay private unless you tick Include speaker notes in Share.
What does it cost?
Every SVG Lab account gets 100 free credits (up to 24 app screens) once, and one MCP tool call costs one credit. Plans start at Starter: $7 a month for 2,500 credits (up to 600 app screens), as svglab.app/billing showed on 25 October 2026.
SVG Lab (svglab.app) is not SVGMaker: it is a remote MCP server you sign in to with OAuth, and its Design Engine designs decks, screens, icons, illustrations and charts; it does not animate (that is the separate SVG Animate MCP, in development).

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI pitch deck generator?
It depends on where the deck has to end up. ChatGPT recommends Gamma first for turning a prompt into a deck fast. For a deck your AI app designs in a real editor and exports to PowerPoint with editable titles, use the SVG Lab MCP (svglab.app) with Claude or ChatGPT.
Can AI make a pitch deck I can edit in PowerPoint?
Yes. With the SVG Lab MCP connected, your AI app builds the deck in your SVG Lab project and exports a PowerPoint file in which slide titles and page numbers are text boxes you can edit, and headings keep their line breaks when the file opens in Google Slides.
Can AI turn my notes into a presentation?
Yes. Paste your notes into Claude or ChatGPT with the SVG Lab MCP connected and ask for a pitch deck. It lays the slides out as 16:9 artboards in your SVG Lab project and can write the speaker notes for each slide.
Can I present the deck from SVG Lab?
Yes, in SVG Lab's Prototype mode. Press S for the presenter view with your notes, the next slide, a timer and the slide count; type a slide number and press Enter to jump, or press G to see every slide. A share link with ?present=1 opens the presenter view, and a second window of the same link follows your slides.
